- Daniel Cownden
- Ph D in mathematics at Stockholm University
I use mathematics to model the dynamics of cultural elements within a population. In particular I am interested in understanding how different mechanisms of cultural transfer lead to different patterns of cultural dynamics.- Contact:

- Mícheál de Barra
- Ph D in Psychology at Stockholm University
- I'm interested in the role of infectious disease in the evolution of human behaviour. I'm studying how the emotion disgust influences disease avoidance behavior, and how cultural norms relevant to infection risk change over time.

over time. - Contact:

- Pontus Strimling
- Ph D in Mathematics at Stockholm University
- I study how norms are created, how they are upheld and how they
change. To answer these questions I use models of cultural evolution
in which agents mix irrational impulses with conscious decision
making. I combine this work with economical experiments and surveys
to ensure that the models are in line with reality. Since 2010 I have
studied the specific norm system of low level corruption (small
bribes, nepotism etc). Here my research focuses on two questions: why
is it so hard to fight corruption and what happened the few times that
corruption has radically declined in a country? - Contact:
